Biography
- Jeremy M. Sharib, M.D. is a General Surgery Resident at the UCSF Department of Surgery. He completed two years of research in the department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry under the mentorship of Dr. Kimberly Kirkwood and Dr. Charles Craik. His work aimed to understand the role of protease dysregulation in mucinous pancreatic cysts and pancreatic cancer. He is also interested in discovering genetic and protease activity based biomarkers for potentially malignant cysts. Dr. Sharib's clinical interest, similarly, is to improve diagnosis and management of IPMN, a type of Pancreatic Cyst. Following General Surgery training, Dr. Sharib plans to complete a fellowship in Surgical Oncology.
